    Collection Description The Writers Guild Foundation Blacklist Clippings File contains historical articles and documents dating from 1938 to the present, and was compiled by the librarians at the Writers Guild Foundation Library. The clippings include copies of original articles about the Blacklist that were published in trade journals and newspapers during the height of the HUAC hearings. Items of note include an out-of-print article by blacklisted writer Abraham Polonsky, “How the Blacklist Worked in Hollywood,” in which he exposes how the system of “fronts” began.
